About the Role

Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking the support of a highly motivated Sales Manager to lead this vibrant sales team in achieving revenue growth and hitting sales targets. As a newly created role you will have the opportunity to make this role your own. You will be responsible for managing, mentoring and motivating the team as well as new business development. This role requires someone with industry experience who is driven, passionate, organised, and tenacious. The Sales Manager will have strong communication and negotiation skills with a desire to continuously learn and grow their skillsets.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage and prepare the annual sales budget across revenue, gross margin, and cost of sales
- Coach and develop team members
- Drive salesforce hygiene across all team members
- Be accountable for the portfolio performance and overall new business achievements
- Prepare annualised budgets by individual
- Implement quarterly sales and marketing plans
- Implement and monitor a customer relationship framework
- Utilise customer profitability models
- Improve yield per customer
- Introduce and monitor standardised sales processes, disciplines and benchmarks as outlined by management
- Pipeline
- Undertake formal performance assessments of personnel
- Recruit, motivate and continue to develop high quality sales personnel

About You

You are someone who has the passion and flair for sales and a desire to lead a professional and fun team. Ideally you will have come from a management background, however potentially you are a team leader and have just been waiting for the right opportunity to show what you have and step up. No matter if you are a current manager or you are looking to step up, this could be the role for you. You are a proactive and driven individual who has a positive and growth mindset. You have a wealth of experience within the freight industry, and you’re keen to bring your ideas and enthusiasm to make a difference to this team and company. Your strong sales and influencing skills along with your ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders and manage people will see you succeed in this role.
