ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ Years in a similar role(incl supervisory experience).
  • Experience in managing up and providing timely accurate business unit reporting.
  • Extensive experience working within an industry that is governed by QHSE legislation.
  • Experience working within a high-paced team that is results driven – essential
  • Having some basic computer skills and been familiar with tablets/Ipads.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with excellent presentation, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Having a forklift licence for more than 12 months - preferred
  • Have some basic mechanical knowledge in Earthmoving equipment but not essential - preferred

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your duties will include:

  • Leading the operations team in a constructive and achievement orientated way, driving a culture of safety, accountability, responsibility and attention to detail.
  • Managing all yard and logistics functions while maintaining high QHS&E standards.
  • Controlling/Monitoring machinery availability, updating systems and communicating with key stakeholders to ensure the best possible machine utilisation.
  • Responsible for the weekly management and reporting of the operational KPIs including transport, fuel and cleaning revenue as well as the operational aspect of DIFOT.
  • Ensuring the on/off hire process is followed accurately and confirmed accordingly.
  • Identify, assess, document and initiate correction of hazards
  • Overseeing regular asset stocktakes and stock checks, any lost attachments or missing items.
  • Driving continuous improvement and supporting a harmonious work environment
  • Participate in and/or proactively manage staff training (as required).
  • Providing additional support to the Hire, Sales Teams as needed
