An opportunity exists with a well-established boutique insurance broker based on the Northern Beaches which is part of a national broking firm. They are seeking a junior or an experienced Assistant Broker to join their team working alongside several highly experienced brokers.

This role would suit a junior seeking an opportunity to break into the insurance broking field or someone with experience as an Assistant Broker, Underwriting Administration or Claims Consultant/Administrator.

Your duties will include
- Processing new business, renewals, and endorsements
- Working closely with experienced brokers assisting them to manage large accounts
- Retaining clients through good relationships with clients and underwriters
- Processing renewals before due date to ensure clients are covered
- Processing claims
- General insurance administration

Essential Requirements
- Previous general insurance broking, underwriting or claims
- General office administration outside of the insurance field
- Tier 1 or 2 qualification would be an advantageous but not essential
- Effective communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven ability to build rapport quickly while maintaining and initiating long lasting client relationships
- Strong attention to detail
- Enjoys working collaboratively within a team and is eager to learn from senior brokers
- Personable, proactive and client focused
