A central agency within the Australian Federal Government, recruiting for an APS5/6 Governance Officer.

**Your new role**
As a Governance Officer within this small team, within this role you will be supporting the team through duties included but not limited to:

- Establish governance policies, standards, and data sharing arrangements to enhance data flows across the division.
- Establishing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted service providers.
- Preparing high-quality correspondence, briefing and reports ensuring sensitivity and complexity
- Supporting the broader section with other duties as required
- Promoting workplace practices consistent with Departmental policy and in accordance with the APS Values, Code of Conduct and Behaviours in Action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor complex and or sensitive information to suit a RA.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You must be an Australia citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a Baseline Personnel Security Clearance.

**What you'll get in return**
This is an exciting role with an attractive hourly rate. After an initial 12-month contract there are possible extension or growth opportunities within the Agency.
