APS5/6 Policy Officer, permanent contract located in the Canberra city.
To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.

This Federal Government department located in the city of Canberra has a great opportunity for an APS5/6 Policy Officer to join their expanding team to support delivery within their division.

**Your new role**
You’ll be assisting in developing coordinated policy outcomes and program delivery whilst providing advice and preparing advanced papers and timelines for government and Ministerial committees. Your duties could include, but are not limited to:

- You will be preparing submissions reporting and briefings to executives, the secretaries’ digital committee, the Minister and Government
- Reporting initiative progress and ensuring delivery towards deadlines
- Instigating research and develop papers for senior meetings and engagements.
- You’ll consult vital stakeholders and get their input into key deliverables and reports.
- Drafting documents, communications, and other materials to support the initiative.

**What you'll need to succeed**
Your previous Government experience will allow you to succeed in this department. Demonstrated experience in the below will be looked upon highly:

- You’ll have a high-level of written, research, and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to formulate high level documents, papers, reports, and briefings
- An ability to support junior staff and provide feedback, advice, and mentorship.
