Responsibilities
As a Procurement Officer, you will thrive in a fast-paced
government environment, bringing initiative, discretion, and a commitment to
delivering high-quality support across procurement operations.
Duties include:
- Oversee and support procurement activities, including
providing guidance on labour hire engagements in line with government policies. - Assist in drafting and coordinating procurement
documentation such as Approvals to Approach the Market, Evaluation Reports, and
financial and contractual approvals. - Demonstrate strong capability in managing tender
processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy. - Maintain corporate records and manage documentation in
accordance with internal governance standards. - Monitor and manage shared mailboxes to ensure timely
responses and workflow continuity. - Administer a portfolio of contracts, fostering effective
relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. - Track contract milestones and manage extensions,
renewals, and close-out processes. - Create and manage supplier contracts and purchase orders
in SAP, ensuring alignment with financial and procurement policies. - Maintain contractor access to relevant systems, including
timekeeping portals, and support end-of-month processing. - Manage records in internal systems, ensuring data
integrity and timely updates. - Resolve contract-related issues through proactive
problem-solving and stakeholder engagement. - Administer outline agreements and purchase orders in SAP
with a focus on accuracy and compliance. - Provide policy advice on procurement and contract
management, ensuring alignment with relevant legislation, rules, and government
frameworks. - Support the preparation and ongoing management of
government contracts. - Oversee invoice processing and ensure financial accuracy
across procurement transactions. - Perform duties with minimal supervision, demonstrating
initiative and a commitment to achieving high-quality outcomes. - Undertake other procurement-related tasks as required.
Your Profile
- Four years' experience working within
Government Procurement. - Thorough understanding of the PGPA Act
for complex procurements. - Contract management experience, with
knowledge of CCS. - Experience providing oversight of public
sector procurement activities. - Ability to undertake analysis of
suppliers, markets, products and service categories to inform procurement
planning. - Assist in the administration of tender
evaluation reports for consideration and approval. - Ability to assist in the oversight of
contracts administration activities and monitoring of contract management
plans. - Experience using SAP or similar related
financial systems.
AUS citizenship and a current Negative Vetting 1 clearance is
mandatory for this opportunity.
