This large Federal Government department are looking to engage with a APS5 Finance officer

**Your new role**
To provide financial and administrative support to the team and finance managers. Working with a variety of business areas you will assist in managing the finance performance and conformance obligations. Responsibilities and duties will include:

- Assisting with financial and budget activities
- End of month processing, budget development and forecasting
- Working with SAP, ensure park accruals and journals updated in a timely manner
- Look for ways to improve processes and engagement with stakeholders
- General administration and coordination support tasks
- Create complete and accurate records in accordance with the relevant policy
- Follow corporate guidelines when providing financial advice and assistance

**What you'll need to succeed**
- An Australian Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance
- Demonstrated financial capabilities and experience
- Accounting qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be proactive in seeking solutions and outcomes
- Be a team player and contribute to a highly productive working environment
- Professional attitude and strong focus on client services

**What you'll get in return**
Section 26 transfer or 6 to12 month non-ongoing contract. Flexible working arrangements.
