About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Officer. Reporting to the Senior Outage Lead, Balance of Plant you will be a key member of our Outages Team.
You will be qualified in an electrical field within a heavy industrial environment with demonstrable experience in project coordination.
This permanent, full-time role is site based at Bayswater power station in Muswellbrook, NSW.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering outage works in a safe manner and proactively leading safety with your contractor partners- Supporting the Senior Outage Lead in the development, monitoring and adjustment of outage plans and strategies to ensure scheduled works are completed to the required standard within budget- Developing schedules with contractor partners and collaborating with other members of the outage team to build and optimise overall outage integrated schedules.- Set tasks and schedule work to meet strict reporting and completion deadlines and estimating cost for scope to set, maintain and report on budgets- Effectively communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders including engineers, commercial staff and contractors- Identifying and ordering materials, spares and supporting services within established guidelines- Performing contracts administration during major outage works- Outage completion reviews, reporting and delivering identified improvements for future outages from lessons learnt
About You
Focused and motivated toward achieving high quality outcomes you will bring an eye for detail, commitment to safety and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders in a complex environment.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant electrical discipline such as trade, advanced diploma or degree- Experience working within a heavy industrial environment and desirable that you have working knowledge of a power station- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace health, safety, and environment- Experienced in managing various contractor groups simultaneously- Demonstrable experience in project coordination or management with formal certification in project management- Strong communicator and the ability to collaborate, share ideas and influence various stakeholders to deliver scheduled works on time and within budget- Intermediate knowledge of MS Project and or Primavera and experience in the use of SAP- Understanding of financial and risk management principles- Experience in job planning, work method statements and demonstrated experience in coordination of resources
