**About the role**
Reporting to the National Retail Excellence Manager, this role will focus on the project management of retail operations initiatives and implementation to drive excellence in execution, simplify operations and deliver on the retail business plan. You will partner with relevant departments to lead, and project manage store initiatives such as, marketing and merchandise planning, standards development, inventory controls and improvements, IT deployment and procurement of consumables.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Key operational lead for stakeholders across the business on initiatives, trials, and projects.
- Manage pilots and national roll outs of the retail operation initiatives whilst finding new ways to make effective impacts to stores.
- Work and project manage with key stakeholders, ensuring we are operationally ready, i.e., standards, training, communication, engagement, and labour.
- Manage the retail operations manual and assist with the management of the capacity planner.
- Work closely with the field execution teams to ensure standards, procedures and compliance are fit for purpose.
- Collect and provide feedback from the execution team and filter this back to internal stakeholders.
- Detailed understanding of store level and market level P&L drivers.
- Manage pilot and national roll outs of retail operation initiatives.
- Ensure operations are conducted in a safe manner.
**About you**
You will play a critical role in executing key elements of our retail strategy, with capability to build strong stakeholder partnerships and demonstrate high level negotiation and analytical skills. You will have the ability to work in highly ambiguous situations and think outside the box to find solutions. This role would suit a highly experienced retail operations individual within a similar Retail, FMCG or convenience background. Multi-tasking, strong written and communication skills, with the ability to liaise and facilitate purposeful conversations with various stakeholders whilst holding accountability in the role is a must. This role will suit an individual who is based in New South Wales.
**Key skills and experience**
- Proven project management related experience in retail operations, ideally from a Retail/FMCG/convenience background.
- High level negotiation and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and display strong written, verbal communication, consultation, and organisational skills.
- Evident ability to work in collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Teams skills required.
