We are seeking a suitably experienced finance officer who will be responsible for accounting functions.

Our client has been an aged care provider for more than 50 years in the South-Western Sydney area.

**Your new role**

The role requires supporting the accountant with a diverse range of aged care billing and accounts functions.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Admissions and discharges of residents and clients
- Processing monthly billing of aged care residents and clients
- Monthly subsidy reconciliations
- Responsibility for investigating funding variances with Service Australia
- Some general ledger reconciliations may include income and expense accounts, unspent funds, general accruals.
- Responding to billing queries from residents, resident representatives, clients, and client representatives.
- Processing of direct debits fortnightly, monthly, or ad hoc as required
- Debt collection for slow paying residential consumer and community consumer accounts
- Establishing Centre pay payments as required, including liaising with clients, and reviewing as necessary
- Reconciliation of corporate credit cards
- EFT processing weekly and processing of cheques as required.
- Ad hoc general ledger journals

**What you'll need to succeed**

**Essential experience**
- High level computer literacy, including experience using accounting software packages
- Experience in aged care billing is highly desirable.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail
- Experience working in Accounts Payable and Accounts receivable roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to build a rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and age groups.
- The ability to prioritise time and organise work schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
