**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Information Systems and Services (ISS) department implements and supports core business systems across all Mercy Health facilities providing the tools, data and services to our staff to deliver care to our patients and residents.

The Head of Technical Services provides operational leadership and support in the delivery of advanced technical services and platforms to Mercy Health. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role is part of the ISS leadership team and lead the Technical services portfolio which includes the management of ten FTE staff whose responsibility includes:
- Enterprise Services: Active Directory & Exchange, Backup infrastructure and services, Citrix Infrastructure, Server Administration monitoring and maintenance (Microsoft Exchange/CommVault/TrendMicro).
- Infrastructure: Storage, Servers & Virtualization (Vmware/Dell EMC).
- Desktop Experience: SOE and Application Management (Ivanti/SCCM).
- Networks: WAN / LAN / WLAN (Cisco).

Additional Areas of responsibility include:

- IT Facilities Management.
- Resource Planning and Forecasting (staff and infrastructure).
- New platforms and products.
- IT Disaster Recovery.
- Risk management.

This is a full-time (76 hrs a fortnight), permanent position based from our Richmond Office with hybrid working arrangements (3 days onsite; 2 days WFH) available.

**ABOUT YOU**:
We are seeking a proven leader with demonstrable success within a complex, diverse and evolving environment that can evidence their values based leadership and offer an authentic, engaging and agile character.
- Demonstrated experience in managing IT technical operational teams in a multi-campus environment to support a wide range of information activities in a large enterprise.
- Excellent staff leadership and management skills. A track record in building and maintaining successful teams.
- Demonstrated an understanding of information communication and technology service requirements in a large healthcare enterprise setting.
- An understanding of best practice techniques as they relate to information and technology architectures, strategy development, systems integration, systems development and implementation, and service delivery management.
- Expert level knowledge and experience of project management in the delivery of IT infrastructure projects.
- Expert level experience in vendor management, covering contract negotiation, dispute resolution and account management.
