As Australia's national weather, climate and water agency, the Bureau’s expertise and services assist Australians in preparing for, and responding to the harsh realities of their natural environment. Through regular forecasts, warnings, monitoring and advice spanning the Australian region and Antarctic territory, the Bureau provides one of the most fundamental and widely used services of government.
We are seeking an experienced senior Information Technology manager to lead the Network Services of the Services and Infrastructure Management group, which is responsible for the maintenance and support of the Bureau’s current Communications Network.
In order to fulfil this role the applicant must have:
- A background supporting complex integrated technology products and services
- Experience in managing a team of Network Engineers supporting the data network, unified communications systems, and meteorological data collection network
- Strong technical network background
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- The ability to craft and input into detailed policy and tender processes.
