**About Maestria**
Featuring an open plan restaurant, alfresco and lawned gardens to host celebrations whether it’s an exclusive event or one of the intimate spaces. Our functions restaurant features multiple areas that can be combined for your exclusive event as a total book out, or separated for intimate soirees and celebrations.
**The Role**:
As the Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, from private parties and corporate functions to themed evenings. You will work closely with our management team to ensure that each event exceeds our guests' expectations and reflects the unique charm of Maestria, located in Rhodes Quarter.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs and preferences.
- Develop event proposals, including budget estimates and timelines.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and decorations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, staff, and clients to ensure seamless event execution.
- Oversee event setup, ensuring that all elements are in place according to the plan.
- Act as the main point of contact during events, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Evaluate the success of each event and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinates and communicates function details both verbally and in writing to the customer and staff during handovers
- Follows up with customer post-event
- Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints, while using personal judgment and expertise to enhance the customer experience
- Open to working weekends when necessary
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in the hospitality, events and wedding industry.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- A genuinely warm & welcoming demeanour
- Personable communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Display a growth mindset
- Display a passion for both the hospitality and event industry
- 3-5 years minimum experience within the event/sales industry
- Creative thinker with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
