Hays have partnered exclusively with a rapidly growing Japanese multinational to appoint an experienced Jira and ITSM expert to an initial 6-month contract. With the pace the business is growing at, and a fast-approaching office move to the Brisbane CBD, your role will be the backbone of the service desk's success.

Now, while you'll be working with the Service Desk team, this is not a Service Desk role by any means. As the Jira expert (or 'Ticket Master'), you'll be responsible for allocating, managing, and following up all live and outstanding incidents and service requests across a team of approximately 12 people. Your days will be fast-paced and varied, but some of your key duties will include:

- Monitoring, allocating, and managing all incoming and outstanding tickets in Atlassian's Jira ITSM portal
- Following up with both the technical teams, and end-user groups to keep stakeholders informed of what's happening and why it's happening
- Partnering closely with the Service Desk Manager to provide feedback on what works within the team, and solutions to what doesn't
- Proactively identifying ticket trends and reporting them back to the right people - helping them work out the solution as needed

**What you'll need to succeed**

You won't be on the phones, but you will be playing a direct role in ensuring the Service Desk is performing to their best potential. This means your communication and people skills will be second to none, as you find it easy to build respect and trust within established teams. You will have exposure to leading teams or Service Desk Coordination already, and possess a keen interest in documentation and improving efficiency.

Experience with Jira, and any other Atlassian technology, will be preferred.
