This includes respecting the past whilst we shape the future; striving for excellence; lending a hand to others & and playing with pride, passion and purpose. **_ About the role_** A unique opportunity has arisen to join our Venue & Event Services team at the Melbourne Cricket Club in the role of **Precinct Operations Coordinator**. Reporting to the Security & Precinct Manager the goal of this role is to coordinate the non-event day and event day operations of Yarra Park and surrounds to ensure the precinct is safe and secure at all times for patrons and employees. This includes the car parking operations, management of event day activations in Yarra Park, associated project management at the MCG as well as standalone events in Yarra Park. Whilst most hours of work will fall within regular business hours, due to the nature of the role this person will be required to work on designated event days during the course of the year, and as such flexibility is required to be able to work on some weekends and public holidays. **_ To be successful.._** This role would suit someone highly organised with a keen eye for detail. Someone who is confident building relationships with external partners, proactive in their approach to their work, and can balance both routine administration tasks and challenging projects. This would be a great opportunity for someone seeking to get their foot in the door for a career in events. There is also the opportunity to contribute to initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience, so a flair and interest in this area would be advantageous. To be successful in this position, you will need the following: - Experience working in a busy administration/coordinator role - Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise workload with competing priorities - Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - Team player but also able to work autonomously - Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to build rapport with others easily - A natural strength in demonstrating initiative & taking action to ensure set tasks are completed - High level of computer skills, intermediate-advanced for Microsoft Office suite - Able to work on designated event days during the year (weekends and public holidays) For a more detailed understanding of the role please refer to the position description link on this page If you have the skills and experience outlined above and would like to join an iconic organisation, we would love to hear from you.
