**Security Operations Coordinator**

About the role_**

A unique opportunity has arisen to join our Venue & Event Services team at the Melbourne Cricket Club in the role of **Security Operations Coordinator**.

Reporting to the Security & Precinct Manager the primary function of the role is to support the event day security planning at the MCG, to ensure the safety and security of patrons, staff and officials at the MCG remains the number one priority for the business.

The key functions/responsibilities of the role are;
- Event Security planning and support
- Investigation and complaint response
- Supervision of Compliance and Investigation Officers
- Security reporting and documentation
- Security project management

Whilst most hours of work will fall within regular business hours, due to the nature of the role this person will be required to work on designated event days during the course of the year, and as such flexibility is required to be able to work on some weekends and public holidays.

This role would suit someone highly organised with a strong attention to detail. Someone who is confident building relationships with external partners, proactive in their approach to their work, and can balance both routine administration tasks and challenging projects. This would be a great opportunity for someone seeking to get their foot in the door for a career in events.

To be successful in this position, you will need the following:

- Experience working in a busy administration/coordinator role
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise workload with competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Team player but also able to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to build rapport with others easily
- A natural strength in demonstrating initiative & taking action to ensure set tasks are completed
- High level of computer skills, intermediate-advanced for Microsoft Office suite
- Able to work on designated event days during the year (weekends and public holidays)
