We're looking for a
Precinct Operations Manager
to lead the delivery of world-class event infrastructure and manage permanent assets at Flemington Racecourse. This is a mid–senior level role for an experienced operations leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.

About the Role

As Precinct Operations Manager, you'll oversee the end-to-end delivery of temporary event builds for the Melbourne Cup Carnival and other major race days, while managing the day-to-day operations of permanent infrastructure. You'll be responsible for site strategy, contractor management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement - ensuring every event runs seamlessly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and delivery of temporary infrastructure for large-scale events.
  • Manage permanent facilities and asset lifecycle, including maintenance and replacement schedules.
  • Oversee site operations, budgets, and timelines with precision and accountability.
  • Drive contractor performance, procurement, and WH&S compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, sponsors, and external partners.
  • Provide leadership and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
