**About the role**.**

We’re seeking a commercially driven and strategic National Business Manager - Woolworths to join our Retail Sales AU team. Based in Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney, this high-impact role owns one of our most important customer relationships and plays a critical part in driving category leadership, revenue growth, and long-term partnership with Woolworths.

As a senior member of the Sales & Commercial ANZ team, you’ll lead customer strategy, joint business planning, and execution across the Woolworths portfolio. You'll also take direct ownership of one category, working closely with internal teams (marketing, category, supply chain) and collaborating with peers across Coles and Independents to ensure aligned delivery across key accounts.

**What you’ll be doing.**
- Lead the development and execution of a 3-year Joint Business Plan (JBP) with Woolworths, aligned to both customer objectives and internal KPIs.
- Manage the end-to-end P&L for Woolworths, with accountability for top-line revenue, trade spend, and profit delivery.
- Take hands-on ownership of at least one category, including promotional planning, range reviews, slotting, and performance tracking.
- Work day-to-day with key Woolworths stakeholders including Merge Managers and Senior Category Managers, building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Category, Revenue, and Supply Chain teams to deliver best-in-class execution.
- Guide the Woolworths account team in optimising promotional programs, tracking performance, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Support Woolworths' expansion across channels such as E-commerce, Convenience, and B2B, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
- Contribute to broader team planning across Retail Sales AU, partnering with the Coles and Independents teams to drive shared success.

**What you’ll need to be successful.**
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
- Prior experience as a National Business Manager, or extensive experience as a Senior Account Manager managing major retail customers such as Woolworths or Coles, with demonstrated ownership of commercial performance.
- Proven accountability for at least one category, including involvement in category planning, promotional execution, and range reviews.
- Commercial ownership of at least three of the following five areas: sales, profit, trade spend, category planning, and promotional activity.
- Strong cross-functional experience, with exposure to trade investment, pricing strategy, and supply chain collaboration.
- A track record of building strong, collaborative customer partnerships and delivering against ambitious growth targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with a keen eye for detail and execution excellence.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with peers across the commercial team to align and share best practices.

**About the team**.**

Reporting into the Head of Retail Sales AU, this role will be a senior leader within the ANZ Commercial function working closely with the NBM Coles & NBM Independents and their teams to deliver best business result for McCain. This role plays a pivotal part in the commercial delivery for McCain ANZ, and will also need to collaborate with peer senior leaders across Foodservice and QSR.
