**The role**
Our Melbourne studio is currently seeking talented individuals who like to be challenged to fill **Designer** roles for our exciting and diverse portfolio of projects. This includes aviation, rail, commercial, education, sports and master planning projects throughout Australia and the broader region, with the opportunity to also contribute to international projects as required.
**Fo**r the role of Designer, key responsibiliti**es include**
- team management; day-to-day contact for the team on design and technical project matters
- helping supervise and support junior team members
- assisting senior staff, and assisting with general practice tasks
- ensuring all design output, including that of other team members, adheres to Grimshaw’s quality standards
- receiving direction from Partners and more senior tiers of practice with regards to design direction
- design research and awareness
- confidently presenting design ideas to internal team, stakeholders and clients
- relevant tertiary qualifications and registrations
- more than five years of relevant professional experience
- attention to detail
- knowledge of planning policies, construction methods, industry legislation, practice and procedures, and sustainable and regenerative design principles as relevant to the role
- the ability to work well autonomously and within a team
- strong written and verbal communications skills
- relevant software skills, including Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Rhino, Microsoft Excel and Word
