About the Team:
We currently have an opportunity for a unique and exciting opportunity for an Initiative Lead to join our vibrant and highly regarded Improvement Program team based in Melbourne.

The Improvement Program Team within Connections and Billing is responsible for leading and supporting medium to large scale initiatives for the operational connections and billing functions. The team ensure AGL deliver an exemplary customer experience through the delivery of continuous improvement and regulatory projects.

The team are required to work across the business under an Agile continuous improvement framework to identify drivers of customer dissatisfaction and process inefficiencies, to resolve, reduce work volumes and eliminate cost. As well as driving operational efficiency through consistent monitoring and review of connections and billing processes. Key accountabilities of the team will include:
- Optimising the customer connections & billing experience- Managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets, and delivery to budget- Designing and implementing future state strategies and processes- Maintenance and improvement of strong stakeholder interaction models with relevant groups- Engaging with key stakeholders, senior management and the broader business to enable strategy delivery- Focus on Digital Adoption and building on the Digital self-service options for customers through the Connections and Billing processes- Financial optimisation - maximising revenue, cash flow, working capital - minimising cost.

About the role:
- Business Solution Ownership - Key contact for early engagement in assessment of solution options, responsibility and accountability for approval of solution approach.- Review and approval of solution approach where initiatives are delivered outside of our stream (e.g. Digital)- Develop business cases, financial models and present improvements opportunities across the customer life cycle relating to Connections and Billing- Leverage data to drive insight led decision making- Act as ‘Initiative Lead’ for various initiatives related to Connections and Billing, work with scrums to deliver iterations of product enhancements, starting and building off MVP.-
- Develop and documents all policies and procedures for implementing and managing the business change- Identifies all required business changes necessary to leverage the new capability, to deliver better customer experiences and/or commercial outcomes.- Monitors and reports on post launch adoption, revenue and business benefits- Collaborates and communicates with Energy Markets cross-functional teams and technical delivery teams in the identification, development, implementation and integration of new products

About you:
- Minimum of 2 years operational experience within the energy industry, including sound understanding of Billing and/or Connections processes.- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with high quality written and verbal communication capability- Proven strategic and innovative thinker- Strong problem solver with research, analytical and conceptual skills- Experience working within projects or system improvements which impact cross functional teams, coupled with a pragmatic approach towards getting things done- Experience working with Agile methodology (SAFe exposure a bonus), Lean/Six Sigma Process improvement and System change processes is advantageous- Experience with general business management and an understanding of business drivers- Demonstrable knowledge of improvement processes, including assessment of ideas, cost vs benefit analysis, solution development, testing, post go live monitoring, benefits realisation and an appreciation of risk management
