About the role

Infrastructure & Cloud Services at ANZ (ICS) has a continuous backlog of large and complex commercial arrangements spanning across hardware, property (data centres), software and professional services.

These contracts have lifecycles and involve a broad stakeholder group across Group Technology who rely on our platforms, and therefore requires a central point of co-ordination within the Strategy & Operations area of ICS. The role is required to drive commercial benefits for ANZ and maximise flexibility for our platforms based on medium to long term roadmaps.

As an Initiative Lead you will co-ordinate large, time-bound projects or major capability uplifts that underpin the platforms that Tribes & Domains deliver upon. Working collaboratively across Group Technology, the Initiative Lead ensures that the work is delivered to requirements of ICS and Domains. The role involves coordinating the timing and scope of work that multiple areas perform, managing interdependencies between Tech Areas, squads and/or other parties (e.g. other teams in ANZ, third party providers) and successfully executing contractual arrangements. The Initiative Lead will track and manage the cost & risk impact of commercial arrangements ensuring that benefits are realised at pace.

What will your day look like

**This role is accountable for**:
Accountable for co-ordinating the execution of ICS vendor contracts, both new and renegotiation of existing.
Accountable for delivering end-to-end commercial value and product flexibility for ICS.
Accountable for embedding a high performance culture amongst ICS Strategy & Operations, empowerment and coaching, including overall performance and growth of Technology Commercial Management team. This also includes driving improved acumen across Group Technology specifically with regards to Cloud commercials
Lead the team to collectively solve problems across Commercial and Vendor management to deliver to ICS performance targets
Stay abreast of regulatory, industry and supplier trends regarding their portfolio and build relationships externally and internally to understand leading practice, innovations, market disruptions, providing direction and strategy for teams
Lead strategic deals on behalf of ICS, support critical negotiations, and establish best practice around large deal negotiations
Ensure alignment to established commercial frameworks, working with Commercial Management, Finance, Legal, Procurement and ICS Operations and Tech Areas in their implementation.
Support teams with stakeholder management to help align business executives to the Simplification and Group Tech strategies
Accountable for understanding performance and hygiene of vendors within the portfolio of Simplification initiatives and platform roadmaps, prioritising and allocating resources to manage the portfolio effectively to meet performance targets and manage risks
Build trusted relationships with key Business and Functional stakeholders, and broker relationships for other teams who have like stakeholders across the business
Act as single point of escalation for senior Technology management (CIO and Tech Exec) with regards to enterprise cloud commercials

Deep commercial management experience and expertise, particularly with regards to Infrastructure, Hardware, Licenses, Cloud & PaaS (AWS, GCP).
Demonstrated success at growing commercial capability within a team, experience in building high performing and collaborative team
Strong communicator, stakeholder and relationship management, and ability to influence at executive level
Ability to mobilise teams in high pressure situations
Problem solve within highly complex and ambiguous situations
Strong commercial & technology acumen with ability to analyze cost vs risk trade-offs, shape deal economics
Ability to translate broader business context into key priorities for Commercial Management to support
Understanding supply market dynamics, Third Party Risk and Regulatory requirements, external leading practice, market trends relevant to spend areas
Understanding of effective end-to-end procurement lifecycle management across strategy, demand management, source to contract and supplier relationship management
Demonstrated success in achieving sustainable and meaningful productivity benefits at scale through commercial strategy execution.
