As an Initiative Lead in the APRA Remediation Tribe (Business Lending), our mission is to improve the Business Lending process and systems risk management framework through the delivery of initiatives.

The primary focus of this role will be on the delivery of the Lending Securities Management (LSM) platform. You will be responsible for overseeing the strategic development and implementation of the initiative including overarching accountability for implementation of this strategic system into ANZ Plus, Home Loans, Small Business, Business Banking, and a roadmap for implementation into Institutional and New Zealand.

The LSM initiative, which you will be a part of, aims to build an enterprise view and way of managing our securities that we hold against secured lending. You are passionate about transforming and guiding our businesses from disparate systems into a single consolidated enterprise capability that allow us to both improve the customer experience and better manage our credit risk.

With the customer, banker and credit at the heart of your decision making, the Initiative Lead will be tasked with developing and maintaining the delivery roadmap, partnering with other in-flight initiatives and dependencies across the Divisions. You will be responsible for planning the delivery of the initiative objectives and will drive high quality outcomes across the squad. Your role will drive the development and ongoing management of the initiative plan and schedule to meet regulatory commitments, manage the future state value driven enterprise roadmap, prioritise work and ensure co-ordination and visibility of contributing squads.

Key Accountabilities

Engage and synchronise with initiatives across the Divisions to ensure planning and dependencies are managed

Accountable ownership of the roadmap and delivery execution

Engage with multiple stakeholders across commercial and technology

Accountable for uncovering and leading with shared clarity of risks and issues that the initiative faces

Communicate progress with leadership team and executive stakeholders across all participating Divisions

Financial management of $20m+ CAPEX budget and FTE

What will your day look like

Provide leadership, guidance and direction to your team

Ensure that your initiative delivers its intended value and supports the commercial strategy

Manage the initiative and drive visibility of delivery across contributing squads, shifting as business needs require

Plan and coordinate large time bound streams of work to ensure that outcomes are delivered on time and are high quality

Be responsible for managing issues, risks and dependencies across streams;
Be accountable for investment submissions and monthly financial management of your initiative; and

Work closely with the leadership team, credit risk and our Divisional business partners

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive experience in strategic program leadership as a Project or Program Director and delivering in complex and fast changing environments

Large data migration experience is highly desirable

Experience with delivering technical initiatives

You are curious, creative and a people shaped leader

You have experience in influencing and executing business change with a broad range of stakeholders

You have the ability to drive alignment, accountability and manage risk

You question the status quo and are energized making improvements and driving better customer outcomes

You are a strong cross functional collaborator with outstanding communication and presentation skills

You are not restricted by the boundaries of a role title or perceived hierarchy
