The Australian Government is investing $230 million over the next 10 years in flood warning infrastructure in Australia's highest flood risk areas. This investment will enable the Bureau to simplify ownership and maintenance of high-priority flood warning assets through the acquisition, upgrade and integration of key local government-owned, and some state government-owned rain and river level gauges into its existing flood warning network across Australia.
The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator. The role will plan and deliver strategic and human-focused communications to tell the story of the Bureau's flood warning network, building our reputation as a trusted collaborator and source of information.
Working in a dynamic and innovative team, you will work with various teams across the Communications Program - comprising internal and external communication, strategic content & media, government relations and creative - to develop and deliver integrated communications collateral and provide high quality communications advice.
Working in partnership with teams across the Bureau, you will work collaboratively to communicate and engage a diverse audience. The key to this role is building strong, effective relationships through delivering a high level of communication activities.
