**The Role**
The Australian Naval Classification Authority (ANCA) is seeking an experienced and well-rounded EA and Administration assistant. Working with the Assistant Secretary ANCA and the Branch Coordinator you will use your initiative and sound judgement in providing high level executive and branch support.
You will:
- Have accountability for delivering executive support to the Assistant Secretary including diary management, correspondence, travel facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
- Be required to work autonomously and possess the ability to manage competing priorities and multitask effectively.
- Manage inboxes, workflows and track tasks.
- Prepare briefing packs, reports and papers.
- Build and sustain relationships in order to work collaboratively within the work area and other areas of Defence.
- Provide secretariat support for meetings including organising meetings, preparing briefs, taking dictation and drafting minutes.
- Prepare travel itineraries and book domestic and international travel.
- Perform a range of administrative support tasks for the Assistant Secretary such as leave requests, IT requests and expense claims.
**About our Team**
The Australian Naval Classification Authority (ANCA) is responsible for establishing, managing and continuously improving a system of naval classification (the ANC Framework) to assure the seaworthiness of naval vessels operating in the defence of Australia.
As a newly-established Defence agency, the ANCA includes a diverse geographic workforce based in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. The ANC Authority has engaged a long term Sovereign Industry Partner, Bureau Veritas, to support ANCA work.
Additionally, it will be necessary to provide limited support to the broader ANCA team, which is geographically dispersed. They can also expect to be allocated duties not specifically mentioned under the duty statement that are within the capabilities, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying jobs at this classification level.
