**The Role**
As the Executive Assistant (EA) to the Surgeon General/Commander Joint Health, you will perform complex administrative support work within an integrated workforce. This is a fast paced environment that requires you to be proactive with a flexible mindset and the ability to be across multiple tasks.

The EA position is the first touch point and primary interface for all incoming calls, visits and inquiries. They are accountable and responsible for administrative, clerical, financial, travel and records management support to the Office of the Commander Joint Health.

This position will also provide leadership support and the coordinator (as the senior EA) for Joint Health Command EAs and Staff Officers to synchronise processes and standards across the Command.

Joint Health Command (JHC) provides a joint health effect to enable Australian Defence Force capability and care for our people. Through the delivery of best practice health services, JHC enables a healthy, ready, and supported Force from enlistment through to transition.

The Office of the Commander Joint Health is a high tempo environment responsible for direct support to the Surgeon General of the Australian Defence Force/Commander Joint Health Command. The team coordinates administrative support and reporting functions for JHC and manages work flow to internal Defence stakeholders and externally to senior government departments and other agencies.

Joint Health Command is seeking a professional who can work collaboratively in a small team and understands the sensitive nature of our Business. You will also possess strong stakeholder management skills with an emphasis on being able to monitor and track the progress of projects and lines of effort. Whilst part of this small team, you will be comfortable working independently and be flexible to meet business outcomes.
