**About Specialist Clinics**

Specialist Clinics is part of the Access and Demand Division

Specialist Clinics at Austin provides planned non-admitted services that require the focus of an acute hospital services/ specialists to ensure the best outcome for a patient. These services are an important interface in the health system between tertiary hospital services and primary care services.

Currently Specialist Clinics provide over 317,000 attendances per annum making it one of the largest services in the state and largest services providers at Austin Health

**About the role**:
The business manager provides business support and analytics to the leadership structure to support strategic and operational functions within Specialist clinics including business systems, operational performance reporting, capital replacement. consultation Billing processes and revenue management.

Responsibilities include:

- Promote strategic objectives within the Specialist Clinics service, aligning with the Department of Health Specialist Clinics Access Policy and performance requirements for Non-Admitted Specialist Services in Victorian Public Hospitals.
- Coordination of key business requirements including accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic service model planning functions
- Thorough oversight of different Specialist Clinics IT system configurations, IT systems scheduling coordination, and data management to provide business support and continuity
- Coordinate IT System upgrades and user acceptance testing to align with business processes
- Manage relationships and contracts with external vendors and Austin Health internal departments & stakeholders
- Develop working relationships with Clinical Divisions to enhance shared approach to service improvement and business performance

- High level communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with and engage internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner at various levels
