We’re seeking a proactive and experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workforce.
About the role
As a P&C Business Partner, you’ll work closely with operational leaders in Melbourne and Adelaide to deliver people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and cultural alignment. You’ll be a trusted advisor, a change champion, and a key contributor to national P&C initiatives, ensuring regional implementation is seamless and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnering
- Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and leadership capability.
- Partner with leaders to address workforce challenges and align people strategies with business goals.
- Deliver timely, solutions -focused advice on employment policies, procedures and employment related matters.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Champion initiatives that enhance wellbeing, engagement, and retention.
- Support continuous improvement incorporating employee feedback and engagement programs.
- Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with our values.
- Lead regional rollout of national P&C frameworks and programs.
P&C Operations
- Lead or support key P&C processes including performance reviews, remuneration, talent mapping, and L&D.
- Oversee day-to-day People & Culture operations across the region, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality service delivery
- Manage complex employee relations matters in collaboration with legal/IR specialists.
Corporate Social Responsibility
- Build and maintain relationships with our charity partners and lead programs that support them.
- Lead CSR activities including the implementation of our Reconciliation Action plan and report on our CSR activities.
About You
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, Psychology, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with operational leaders to drive business outcomes through effective people management.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment law and industrial relations frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage change, influence stakeholders, and deliver people initiatives in complex environments.
- High level of emotional intelligence, communication skills, and cultural awareness.
- IT literacy in MS Office suite (Excel, Word & Outlook in particular).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships, credibility and trust.
- Outstanding attention to detail, strong commercial acumen.
