**The Opportunity**

Visy Logistics, part of the wider Visy Group, has global and domestic logistics capabilities to service our expansive ANZ manufacturing operations and our growing 3PL customer base. Visy Logistics has significant growth objectives, and a key responsibility of this role is to develop land-based logistics solutions predominant across ANZ but certainly not limited to our local markets.

Reporting to the General Manager - Global Safety, Development, Design and Implementation (SDDI) and based at our office in Clayton (Vic), you will design innovative and comprehensive e2e logistics solutions that will win new business and optimise existing customer contracts.

As the Head of Logistics Development, you will spearhead the transformation of our logistics solutions through your expertise in 3PL Solution Design and Operations Excellence. Your role will involve designing and implementing cutting-edge strategies that optimize supply chain operations and elevate our services to the next level for the new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- **Solution Design & Development**: Lead the design and development of customized logistics solutions, considering factors such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
- Utilize logistics software and modelling tools to create optimized supply chain designs.
- Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and meet client expectations.
- **Financial Performance**: Drive revenue growth and achieve EBIT targets, focusing on specific projects to streamline operations and reduce costs. Develop strategies for overtime management, warehouse productivity, and fleet utilization.
- **Stakeholder Engagement & Business Profile Development**: Foster strong relationships with customers, peers, and the community. Enhance managerial effectiveness, recruit, and cultivate a high-performing team while ensuring ethical business practices.
- **Organizational Development**: Support business development initiatives, innovate operations, formulate strategic plans, and administer policies to drive long-term growth and profitability.
- **Productivity and Standardization**: Implement operational improvements and standardization activities to establish a benchmark "VL Brand" based on industry best practices and performance.
- **Strategic Management**: Proactively drive organizational strategy with a disciplined approach, fostering a structured, performance-driven culture.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

**To be considered you must have**:

- Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in 3PL Solution Designing role within 3PL/Contract Logistics industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully implementing Solution Design proposals.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and strategic thinking to drive impactful changes in logistics operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Supply Chain modelling and Optimization software
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, warehouse management systems, and emerging technologies
- Leadership skills that inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals
