THE ROLE
FJT Logistics is looking for a dynamic full-time BDM based at our head office at Melbourne Airport, focusing on driving sales growth and supporting strategic commercial initiatives across our national network. Working directly with the National Commercial Manager, you will identify new business opportunities, nurture key client relationships, and contribute to revenue targets. This role suits an ambitious professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation and continuous improvement are central to our growth strategy.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline within the freight forwarding sector
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across air, ocean, and land freight services
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target companies
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Business intelligence: stay ahead of the market trends and provide insights to customers
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1-3 years in similar position in freight forwarding
- Bachelor or master degree in business / supply chain or equivalent
- Good shipping knowledge both ocean and air freight
- Advanced IT skills and digital proficiency using Microsoft 365 and use of ERP/CRM systems
- Sales and negotiation skills – hunter mentality is very important
- Have excellent time management, be organized and work under deadline
- Must have full working rights in Australia
