**Position Information**:
Muswellbrook South Public School is located in the Upper Hunter and has an enrolment of 520 which includes an enrolment of 200 Aboriginal students.

Our school vision is: Everyone in our school community is inspired to improve, feels cared for, is valued, and is supported to find purpose in their lives. We act out this vision by placing students at the centre of decision-making, prioritising staff wellbeing, promoting professional learning, setting high expectations and celebrating achievements.

There is a mix of experienced and early career teachers, working collaboratively to provide quality teaching and learning for all students, including those in the 22 mainstream and 7 support classes.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Approval to teach infants and primary (K-6) with proven ability to provide quality differentiated literacy and numeracy programs, using evidence-based pedagogy that caters to the diverse needs of all learners.
- Ability to implement effective classroom management strategies in line with current wellbeing practices, and to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, to enhance positive and authentic relationships with students, staff and the wider community.
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and awareness and understanding of the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities to foster genuine partnerships.
- Demonstrated skills in promoting a strong school culture by effectively incorporating technology into classroom practice and actively contributing to extra-curricular learning programs, such as sport, music, drama, dance, Information communication technology, debating, creative and practical arts.
