**out the Role**:
As a Community Development Officer, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals and community groups to create, support, grow, and sustain connected, healthy, and inclusive communities. Your work will primarily focus on two portfolios - disabilities and seniors, as you collaborate with these communities to establish, develop, and maintain action plans that address their specific needs and aspirations.
- Pay: $48.03 per hour + super
- Location: Logan
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: Till December 30th + extension or permanent opportunity available
- Hours: 38 hours per week

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage with community groups, individuals, and stakeholders to understand their unique needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement strategies that empower community groups and individuals, fostering social cohesion and inclusivity.
- Work collaboratively with disabilities and seniors communities to create and maintain action plans, addressing their specific issues and goals.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, events, and activities to encourage community engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with local organizations and services to provide support and resources for community initiatives.
- Regularly report progress to the Community Development Manager, outlining project plans and outcomes.

- Proven experience in community development, stakeholder engagement, and project planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse community groups.
- Understanding of the challenges faced by disabilities and seniors communities, coupled with a dedication to driving positive change.
- Strong organizational abilities, enabling effective management of multiple tasks and deadlines.
- An empathetic and compassionate approach, inspiring and motivating others.
- A commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusivity in all aspects of community development.
