**Public Sector People** are working with a local council in the south suburbs of Brisbane (LOGAN) to recruit Multiple Community Education Officer’s for temporary contract positions in a 3 Month contract + Extension.
The purpose of the role is to deliver Community Education and Awareness in respect of Local Laws specific to Parking, Amenity, Animal Care and Graffiti and Pest Programs. This role will have a Focus on Children and PET safety.
This role offers Variety No day will be the same. Working with multiple internal and external Stakeholders.

**Responsibilities will include**:
- Responsible for the delivery of community education awareness in respect of Local Laws, Parking and Amenity, Animal Care and Graffiti and Pest Services in accordance with the Operational Plan, Animal Management Strategy and the Branch Business and Marketing Action Plans.
- Collaborate with synergistic organisations and groups including but not limited to the Combined Vets, RSPCA, the Animal Welfare League and Neighbourhood Watch, to maximise opportunities for partnerships in like-minded projects.
- Under the direction of the Education and Promotions Team Leader participate in the coordination of community events and pet education sessions in accordance with the defined project plan.
- To deliver the highest quality service to stakeholders, including our community, the City Standards and Animal Care, other department staff
- Actively promote and support responsible pet ownership opportunities across the City.
- Provide specialist information to assist members of the public and animal owners. Identify and manage personal risk in highly emotive, potentially aggressive or confrontational situations.
- Contribute to and participate in approved education programs relevant to core responsibilities.

**About you**:
- You work in the communications field who has proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret complex legislation and language to make it accessible for a range of stakeholders.
- You have great interpersonal skills, including the ability to build great relationships, network, effectively negotiate and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders.
- You have the ability to develop and deliver innovative communication strategies.
- You have experience in producing effective marketing and digital content.
- You have experience in project / event management.
- You have a positive attitude and you are a great problem solver, who can think outside the box and thrives in a dynamic ever-changing environment.
- You are passionate about Community Education, CHILDREN AND PET SAFETY
