Cerner is looking for a Lead Engagement Executive to join the APAC Consulting team in Melbourne, Australia. This is an exciting team that looks to push the boundaries of what can be done and is part of the wider organisation of Cerner International Consulting.

You will be part of a dynamic team in which collaborative working will be paramount. As well as delivering value to clients, you will be expected to contribute and identify areas for process improvement internally.

As a Lead Engagement Executive, you are the program manager that will oversee the business and implementation process and working relationships within projects for designated Cerner clients, while serving as the primary contact for client-based escalations.

You will be accountable for project management and planning, risk assessment, value achievement, client alignment with appropriate executive relationship management and project status review of assigned accounts.

You will also provide support to the project team members and are accountable for resource management to meet contracted project plan deliverables.

Accountability for the delivery of Cerner client projects includes:

- Lead strategy and accountability for highly complex, multi-site client programs
- Mitigate and resolve engagement risks proactively and serve as final point of escalation
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to execute client and methodology vision, objectives, and strategy
- Provide executive oversight for engagements so that project deliverables and timelines are met while ensuring value is delivered to the client as committed
- Accountable for external C-suite level client relationships
- Manage complex client and project team matters

People Management Responsibilities:

- Seek to understand disagreements, ensure all perspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution.
- Delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations and follow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. Identify associates and team priorities based on business direction and adjust when needed.
- Lead by example and share knowledge and experiences with associates and team. Create a respectful work environment where you advocate for your team, create accountability and recognize accomplishments.
- Provide timely feedback to encourage success, ensure accountability and connect opportunities for your associates' development.
- Identify the right talent to achieve the desired results. Promote and build a diverse and cohesive team to accomplish objectives and align associates' skills to fill gaps

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree **or** 4 years relevant work experience
- Plus 6 years completed higher education **and/or** additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:

- Healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting, HCIT support, project/program management, client relationship management and/or other client-facing or HCIT solution work experience

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- PRINCE2 Foundations and / or PMP

**Expectations**:

- The role has a travel expectation of up to 80% and is based in Melbourne.
- Flexibility in the Engagement Executive role is important to be successful and there may be times when the work requires you to work irregular hours or after hours

As a recognized authority and leading contributor, this project management professional, provides consistent innovative and high quality solution leadership. Responsible for guiding the successful implementation of non-routine and complex business solutions ensuring high quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge. Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, thereby minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques for effective project delivery on small to medium engagements. Provides direction and mentoring to project team. Effectively influences decisions at the management level of customer organizations. Ensures deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations. Supports business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain credibility. Manages the scope of medium sized projects including the recovery of remedial projects.
