This position is responsible for the coordination and planning of executive weddings and events at Australia Zoo, alongside the Wedding and Events Executive. This position is also responsible for supporting marketing functions including the Adopt-an-animal program and coordinating group sales events where required.

A successful applicant must be, enthusiastic, mature-minded, confident, well-presented and able to demonstrate a high level of work-ethic and initiative. Customer Service skills are also a must to be successful in this role. Training will be provided

**Duties include -**
- Assist and support Event Executive and Sales team
- Enquiry management and response
- Event coordination inclusive of food & beverage management, run sheet and event order of proceedings, event/supplier bump-in & bump-out
- Deposit and Final billing reconciliation and invoicing
- Support Event Executive in liaising with marriage proposal enquiries and creating personalised quotes, bookings, run sheets
- Wedding proposal creation and quotation based on enquiries and manager requests
- Liaising with cake smash photoshoot enquiries and creating personalised quotes, bookings, run sheets
- Project management under the Event Executive for Australia Zoo events and assistance with Wildlife Warrior events when required
- Australia Zoo liaison with wedding party and any external suppliers
- Strategy development and close ongoing liaison with the Sales Team, Advertising & Marketing
- Creation and Development of Marketing and Sales material, in conjunction with Advertising and Digital Manager
- Organise and coordinate team assisting with weddings, special events and Zoo events
- Manage Adopt-an-Animal and Annual Pass Programs

**Essential Criteria -**
- Highly organised, efficient and effective under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise based on events taking place
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Conceptual thinker with superior problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and website software
- Strong availability including weekends, public holidays and school holidays

**Preferred Criteria -**
- Proof of Coronavirus vaccination (unless otherwise exempt)
- First Aid Qualifications
- Relevant Certificates/Qualifications relevant to the role
- Experience in a similar event/wedding role
- Any relevant WHS experience
- Manual drivers licence
- Education history
- Employment history
- References
