**Ventia** is looking for an experienced **SHEQ Advisor** to join our **Defence **contract team in a **full-time, permanent** role. Based in **Rockingham** or **East Fremantle**, with regular travel to Defence bases across WA, you'll play a key role in providing leadership, advice, and support to maintain compliance and drive operational excellence at all WA Defence sites.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement and monitor Safety Management Plans and ensure compliance with SHEQ policies
- Conduct audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards
- Investigate safety incidents, identifying root causes and providing corrective actions
- Facilitate training and inductions, fostering a culture of safety across the team
- Conduct internal and external audits and support continuous improvement programs
- Partner with leadership to ensure compliance with contractual KPIs and non-conformance management

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety, Environmental, or Quality Assurance
- Lead Auditor or incident investigation qualifications (ICAM preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in safety, environmental, and quality roles, ideally within construction or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in risk management, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to effectively mentor and influence internal and external stakeholders
