**The role**:
The Health and Safety Advisor is responsible for building safety capability in the maintenance team through education, risk identification, communication and influencing, and is also responsible for assisting the management team in establishing a high standard of safety performance. Reporting to the Senior Safety Advisor, you will be aiding the maintenance team in developing, implementing and monitoring the Health and Safety plan and for facilitating risk management and assessment sessions for employees and contractors. Your duties will include coaching and mentoring employees and business leaders in inspections, change management, audits and safety interactions as well as ensuring all incidents are reports and investigated.

**Selection Criteria**:
To be successful you will need to hold either a Certificate or Diploma in Health and Safety and have experience working in heavy industry. Your strong communication skills with your ability to develop relationships will see you secure this role.
