**About the role**

Gold Road are looking for a positive, experienced and passionate HSE Advisor to work at both our exploration site and West Perth office. Reporting to the Superintendent - Health & Safety, the HSE Advisor will be responsible to lead and support the successful delivery of the Gold Road HSE Strategy and ensure effective operation of the Gold Road Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS) for their respective area of responsibility (Exploration).

This role is offered for a one year max term contract based on our Gold Road exploration sites and Perth office as required.

**Key Responsibilities**

Broadly, your key responsibilities will include:

- Support the Superintendent with managing the Gold Road Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS);
- Provide advice and support to site management and personnel to ensure effective HSE knowledge and engagement across all functions;
- Review pre-employment/mobilisation documentation to approve site entry;
- Ensure an effective inspection and audit regime is implemented for site;
- Support and mentor site leaders and contract supervisors with incident investigations for all incidents;
- Co-ordinate the collection, storage and interpretation of accurate and timely HSE related information;
- Take a lead role in Gold Road Emergency Management System during emergency events;
- Provide appropriate first aid/medical response and/or treatment for injuries and illnesses that may occur onsite
- Liaise with Gold Road People & Culture team to ensure the lodgement of workers compensation documentation and suitable return to work programs are instigated and maintained; and
- Lead and coordinate site-based risk training.

**About yourself**
- Experience working in a HSE leadership role within an exploration and/or mining environment;
- Experience with the development and delivery of training content design & delivery;
- A formal qualification Certificate IV (or higher) in Occupational, Health & Safety;
- Proven experience as an Incident Causal Analysis Method (ICAM) lead investigator;
- An Authorised Collector for Drug and Alcohol testing;
- A Certificate IV (or higher) in Training and Assessment (desirable);
- A Certificate IV (or higher) Healthcare (Ambulance) (desirable); and
- _Mental Health First Aid (desirable)._
