An international Civil Engineering company operating on major infrastructure projects across the country is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team and oversee their commercial operations in WA, NT, QLD and PNG.

**Main Duties**
As Commercial Manager you will be responsible for:

- Reporting and providing commercial & contractual support to the State Manager and wider company
- Managing & administering Commercial Management Plans and registers for the Project
- Negotiating contracts with clients
- Monitoring and managing commercial & contractual governance across the project for various work streams
- Preparing commercial correspondence and responses while managing all commercial and contractual aspects of subcontractor’s work
- Keeping up to speed with legislation and having a good understanding of the terms of the Head Contract and how it relates to the work
- Managing procurement activities, including defining the scope of works, negotiating contracts, administering live accounts, to closing out final accounts
- Analyzing and reviewing agreements with subcontractors

**Requirements**:
What you will bring to the role:

- A degree in construction management/law/finance or a similar field
- A proven history of working with an established civil contractor with local market knowledge
- Knowledge around D+C, PPP, and/or Australian Standard Contracts, dealing with legal councils
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability and previous demonstrated experience in managing an established team to get the desired outcome required
- Sound understanding of assurances
