This opportunity will see you implementing your experience in budgeting and performance reporting, financial systems and improvement, and delivery of strategic financial projects.
As the Finance Coordinator - Internal Budgets, you will have a strong focus on providing financial support to CSIRO and its controlled entities; achieve significant financial accounting and financial management outcomes; ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and relevant financial information; provide advice to internal stakeholders; and assist management with the delivery of their CSIRO business objectives.
**Your duties will include**:
- Working closely with In-Business Finance and other internal stakeholders, developing the four-year budget based on historic and forward trend analysis and financial environment assessment.
- Planning, managing and reviewing the accurate and timely development of the internal budget at various organisational levels. Collaborating with the In-Business Finance Managers to integrate best practice budgeting processes and the use of BPC across the organisation.
- Contributing to the development of budgeting and accounting expertise within the Budget Team and wider Finance through coaching/ knowledge sharing/ mentoring of staff
- In conjunction with Corporate Finance - External Budgets, ensuring ongoing alignment of the internal budget to the representation of the budget to external stakeholders.
- Contributing to best practice financial management service delivery and performance with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Assisting with the Capital Budgets process including process improvement and reviewing of capital budgets and reports.

**Salary**:AU$105,806 - AU$114,500 plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
- Relevant Degree in accounting, commerce or business as well as study towards (or completion of) the CA or CPA Program, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and/or experience in management accounting, forecasting and budgeting.
- Proven ability in developing and communicating financial management advice with a strong focus on business partnering with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound judgement, forward thinking and impactful problem-solving skills to resolve accounting issues in an accurate and timely manner.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Established experience in producing technically excellent and timely work consistent in accordance with KPIs and experience in acting proactively, balancing competing priorities and delivering in periods of change.
- Experience being able to positively lead a team, plan and prioritise to deliver team-based outcomes on timely basis, creating a proactive solutions-oriented environment.
