**ABOUT THE BRANCH**
The Communications Advice Branch (CAB) is responsible for Whole-of-Government coordination of advertising campaigns, including providing advice and support on best practice campaign development, managing whole of government procurement arrangements for campaign suppliers and ensuring integrated, effective and efficient campaigns are developed by entities. CAB supports Departments to develop and implement best practice insight-led campaigns and provides guidance on the governance requirements for campaigns. CAB delivers training and development to Australian Government communications practitioners on contemporary best practice campaign design and development. **ABOUT THE** OPPORTUNITY**
We are looking for proactive self-starters to assist with the project and contract management of a diverse range of communication related projects and contracts. The Communications Advice Branch manages the Master Media Agency (MMA), the Government Communications Campaign Panel (GCCP), and the Whole of Government Campaign Evaluation arrangement.
The MMA is responsible for the placement of all advertising under the Central Advertising System (CAS). The CAS is the coordinated procurement arrangement that consolidates expenditure and buying power to secure optimal media rates for the placement of all government advertising.
The GCCP is a mandatory whole-of-government panel of communications suppliers who work on Australian Government advertising and information campaigns. The GCCP provides a coordinated, whole-of-government approach to campaign development.
Advertising campaigns are required to be evaluated using a whole-of-government campaign evaluation framework. A single supplier provides benchmarking, tracking and evaluation research services for all advertising campaigns
Specific duties of the roles include:
- In collaboration with your team, manage the administration of various projects and contracts related to the MMA, GCCP and Whole of Government campaign evaluation arrangements such as deed management, media rates negotiations, service levels, payments, change orders, and quarterly reviews
- Administer and maintain contract management plans and related systems and processes, resolve issues and identify improvements
- Draft reports, advice, and briefings to Government on projects and contracts, including the writing of briefs, with a high level of accuracy and in tight timeframes
- Support the Branch in its provision of any Secretariat requirements for Independent and Government Committees related to Government advertising
- Maintain productive relationships with communication suppliers, and other areas of Finance and broader Government entities as required.
- Support the Assistant Secretary, Director and Assistant Directors, in the work of the Branch, as required, and participate as a proactive member of the team.
