The Infrastructure Delivery branch within the Water Group is currently seeking to appoint a **Project Officer (Cost Management)** in a temporary capacity to 31 December 2026, with possibility of extension.

**About You**

The role undertakes project cost management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects within the Water Group, including operational policy and procedure development.

**About You**

This role requires you to provide a range of project cost management and support services including preparation of estimates and forecasts, reconciliation of actual expenditure, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to enable project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology.

You will collaborate with outsource partners and project teams to support in the maintenance and capture of an accurate monthly account of the commercial and cost position of the project including statuses of approved changes, remaining contingency, risk forecast and profile, commitments, actual costs and cost to complete.

Preparing and maintaining project cost documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality cost information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes, and support effective decision making is a key aspect of the role.
