The Water Group is currently seeking to appoint an Assistant Project Officer to undertake a range of project support and coordination activities to support the coordination and delivery of water metering and licensing projects, and the achievement of organizational objectives.
**Key accountabilities**
- Develop, implement and use relevant effective records management and processes ensuring operational requirements are met.
- Provide project and administrative support, including monitoring and reporting on status of advice, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved commitments
- Assist the project team to complete tasks including organizing meetings and managing records and taking minutes of meetings.
- Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of reports to support informed decision making and planning
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
**Key challenges**
- Delivering multiple project and support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities
- Exercising diplomacy and judgement when liaising with representatives of peak government and non-government bodies, and key industry participants
**About You**
You are a self starter with a strong capability to work independently and manage competing priorities and timeframes. You enjoy building and maintaining effective working relationships with key internal stakeholders and you have strong communication and project management skills. You are motivated to provide effective solutions to often complex problems.
