Our council client based in South West Sydney is currently looking for a Project Officer.
Our council client is currently looking for a project officer who will be overlooking the construction of landscape and civil projects.

**Your new role**
- Prepare, present and oversee project governance for the projects including project documentation, status reports, risks and issues and change control to align with Council's Project Management Office methodologies and frameworks
- Foster and contribute to the continuous improvement of Operations Landscape/Civil/City Cleansing project program
- Manage and escalate risks as they arise in line with Council's policies and procedures and report these in a timely manner
- Prepare reports for management concerning the performance of contractors and compliance in relation to administration of contracts across the division
- Prepare and review specifications, and provide advice in relation to establishing relevant performance criteria, including key performance indicators for contractors
- Supervise contractors/staff ensuring the delivery of assets or services to specified quality, time and cost relative work activities associated with allocated projects

**What you'll need to succeed***
- To supervise construction of landscape/civil projects ensuring compliance with design, good knowledge of horticultural and civil construction practice.
- To work collaboratively with managers, coordinators and staff in ensuring compliance with organisation direction and culture, and the execution of Council's functions
- To be accountable by setting high standards of performance and holding self, team members, colleagues, outside contractors, service providers accountable for results and actions
- Relevant experience and qualifications in Horticulture

- Drivers Licence - Essential
