Due to increased workload, there is a newly created opportunity for a Working Capital Controller to join this leading mid-tier law firm. This will initially be a 12 month fixed term contract with potential for permanency.

In this role you will be required to regularly meet with Partners to review and discuss WIP, Disbursement & Debt balances. You will work with the billing team to ensure pledged bills materialise at the earliest opportunity, and that they are accurate. You will also influence Partners to allow normal debt-chasing processes on all their bills.

In addition you will be required to follow up on all outstanding invoices in a timely manner and ensure that all credit control queries/disputes are resolved without delay to unlock debts as quickly as possible.

Finally you will monitor WIP accumulation to identify when fee estimates are at risk of being exceeded and liaise with Partners to ensure appropriate client communications are taking place. You will review WIP, invoice and disbursement write offs on a monthly basis and investigate and significant movements.

To be considered for this role you will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the legal or professional services industry. You will have a strong knowledge of Billing and Credit Control processes, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with Elite 3E or a similar legal/accounting practice management system or a large scale ERP would be highly regarded.
