**THE PROJECT**

McConnell Dowell is the constructor within the Western Program Alliance (WPA) which forms part of the Victorian State government’s ambitious level crossing removal program. The Alliance brings together the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM), V/Line and Arup and Mott MacDonald as design partners.

**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**

McDonnell Dowell are seeking a Communications & Stakeholder Manager to join the team, initially based in Diggers Rest then transitioning to Tarneit West.

The Communications & Stakeholder Manager is a diverse and dynamic role that ensures that the project’s public profile and our relationships in the community are authentic and thrive. This role, with the support of a broader team, will lead the development of communications and stakeholder relations strategies to guide external engagement and support for the project through project delivery.

Previous experience building relationships with community stakeholders, researching and writing high-quality, original communications material for things such as media releases, fact sheets, publications, newsletters (internal and external), social media and brochures, and other content will be essential.

**ABOUT YOU**
- At least ten years’ professional experience in communications or stakeholder relations with relevant media or communications qualifications
- Strong communications skills both interpersonal and written
- Demonstrated stakeholder communications experience, preferably in a construction, major project or infrastructure environment
- Capacity to build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within Government, private sector organisations and members of the public and work collaboratively with a diverse range of people
- A proactive approach to identifying stakeholder opportunities and risks, and an ability to identify innovative solutions to complex problems
- Ability to develop and mentor staff.
