**About the role**
McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust.) Pty Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced Communications and Stakeholder Advisors and Managers to join our New Business and Strategy team located in Melbourne, Victoria.

**Some of the responsibilities of our Communications and Stakeholder professionals include**:
- Assist in the development of public information about the project that is clear, timely and accessible for the community and project stakeholders.
- Respond to community and wider public enquiries in a timely and appropriate manner, in accordance with established protocols.
- Act as the point of accountability for the consultation and engagement of stakeholders and the community and participate in all early stages of major project consultation and engagement process
- Monitor effectiveness of communication and stakeholder engagement activities and implement changes as required
- Identify story opportunities that promote the project milestones, outcomes, and partnerships/interactions with the community
- Help manage logistics for a range of communications activities and events, including community information sessions, launches, letterbox drops, corporate events and public and promotional events.
- Develop and implement the Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Management Plan for the project including developing and implementing relevant sub-plans and procedures, ensuring they are updated as required
- Ensure client expectations are fully understood and develop good working relationships with the client
**About your capability, behaviours and experience**:
- Relevant tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing).
- Well-developed organisational and coordination skills with a demonstrated ability to determine priorities and manage tasks under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, coordination and delivery of public events.
- Demonstrated understanding and identification of key transport stakeholders and their communications requirements.
- Demonstrated capacity to build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within Government, private sector organisations and members of the public and work with a wide range of people to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to work autonomously under limited supervision, and as part of a team.
