Salary range $150,210 - $171,934 plus statutory super.

The SEC Manager role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their communications expertise and leadership to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers. With a proven ability to lead a high-performing team to deliver effective communications campaigns, the role will ensure VIT engages with, and learns from, stakeholders.

**About the role**

This role will require you to
- lead, develop and resource a high performing, collaborative team by proactively leading change, identifying opportunities to introduce efficiencies, responding to staff development needs and promoting a culture of service excellence
- maintain and develop stakeholder engagement tools (website content management system, social media channels, teacher/employer management system) to deliver effective communications and best practice user experience
- develop and deliver stakeholder engagement policies, stakeholder management strategy, social and digital media strategy, complaints strategy, ministerial briefings and stakeholder consultation papers
- collect and interpret data about stakeholder engagement to support organisational knowledge and strategic planning
- develop and maintain productive / influential relationships with key external stakeholders, including managing media relations
- meet service objectives (incl financial, quality and time related targets) for all SEC initiatives and other major projects as required
- contribute to executive / Council strategic planning, change management, decision making and policy development.

**About you**

As an experienced communications professional you will have proven ability leading a multi-disciplinary communications team. You will have experience in delivering effective communications campaigns, managing media relations, and ideally a passion for child safety and experience working within the education sector.
- advanced verbal and written communication skills, underpinned by great listening and collaborative skills
- capability to anticipate, identify and assess risks and potential issues; to select the most effective solutions; and manage their implementation
- ability to maintain composure, focus under pressure and set a positive example by adapting to change
- experience with Salesforce products (Marketing Cloud and Studio Automation) and website content management systems (Drupal).
