The Manager Privacy Compliance is a key role within the Group Risk, Compliance & Insurance (GRCI) team, which is responsible for the delivery of a leading enterprise risk, compliance and insurance function that delivers superior results in the changing landscape of the energy industry.
In this full-time permanent role, the Manager Privacy Compliance is responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of leading enterprise privacy compliance frameworks and providing high quality privacy advice to business stakeholders. You will engage and develop effective working relationships with key business representatives from across the enterprise, whilst influencing and assisting the business to integrate a mature and better practice approach to governance, risk and compliance management more broadly.
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Senior Manager Group Compliance & Governance, you will:
- Lead the implementation of and ongoing improvement to AGL’s Privacy Policy and Privacy-related frameworks, standards and practices
- Assist the business in implementing AGL’s Privacy framework and practices
- Monitor compliance with the obligations set out within AGL’s Privacy Policy, framework and standards
- Proactively engage with business stakeholders regarding the storage and sharing of data and information
- Conduct or participate in privacy impact assessments with business stakeholders to ensure privacy risks are understood and appropriate mitigations are planned or in place
- Provide timely advice to business stakeholders in relation to the management of privacy related risks and incidents as required
- Provide critical support / advice to AGL’s technology teams in enhancing AGL’s Data and Information Governance Frameworks
- Lead the development and implementation of appropriate incident management and escalation protocols and procedures, including in relation to data breach notification obligations
- Support notifiable data breach management, including reporting prepared for submission to the regulator(s) in relevant time periods and corrective actions
- Support key compliance transformation and improvement initiatives
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of privacy compliance training and privacy awareness campaigns across the enterprise
- Prepare papers for Board / Audit & Risk Management Committees as required
- Provide input and assistance into the ongoing development, improvement and / or monitoring of AGL’s broader regulatory compliance framework and programs as required
About You
What you’ll bring to the table
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management, assurance, privacy, data and related legislation
- Experience working with and presenting to all levels of an organisation, including the Executive level
- Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to deliver, drive positive outcomes, and bring about change within a large, diverse organisation
