**THE ROLE**
The Projects and Overhauls Analyst’s primary role is to provide effective coordination and cost management for the Generation capital and operational project portfolio. This position provides a support service to Generation Project Managers and other related personnel by providing guidance and support on project processes and governance to ensure effective project management and achievement of project goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the management and administration of Generation capital and operating projects
- Consult with stakeholders to collect, interpret and analyse project information
- Maintain governance for all Generation project endorsements, approvals and expenditure, ensuring that appropriate Origin directives and procedures are complied with.
- Preparation of various monthly reports for project/site managers and senior management
- Coordination of the Generation Development Leadership team Committee meetings
- Provide training and support to internal customers to assist in strengthening commercial awareness
- Provide financial advice to project/site managers in day to day financial activity including interpreting monthly financial results
- Work with project/site managers in the planning process to develop budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
**To be considered for the role you will have**:
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial or finance role within a large organisation.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Economics, Commerce or Engineering
- Knowledge of Portfolio and Project Management systems and principles
- Strategic and commercial guidance and support to stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present written reports and presentations
- Ability to work independently
- Advanced Excel skills
