**About the role**:
Play a key role by supporting the development and execution of new renewable energy generation and storage assets. The role will be responsible to assist with the identification of and obtaining environmental approvals to enable the Program of Development Projects identified by the Development and Construction team to progress to Financial Investment Decision (FID)

**Key responsibilities**:

- Help identify, plan, manage and submit project environmental approvals across various Australian jurisdictions to enable delivery of the projects across the Development & Construction Business Unit function.
- Provide assistance with the coordination of the preparation of environmental impact assessments, environmental management strategies and other documentation for submission to relevant regulatory agencies.
- Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support on potential commercial transactions and advice on risk and appropriate mitigation and management strategies.
- Be involved in maintaining key regulatory relationships with relevant government agencies
- Assist with the development of environmental management procedures and protocols for compliance during the project execution phase
- Coordinate and manage internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for the functional objectives.

**What will you bring?**
- Experience in obtaining development approvals, and implementation of post approval requirements/ compliance in the energy, heavy industry or resource sectors.
- Relevant Degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
- Demonstrated an understanding of statutory processes in New South Wales.
- Excellent working knowledge of Federal statutory processes (EPBC Act).
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Sound understanding of risk management processes.
- Highly developed organisation, co-ordination, and time management skills.
